In their final game of the regular season, Concordia University women's basketball (3-7) secured a weekend split with Dominican University, winning the second matchup of the Division Street Rivalry 67-58.

After trailing by three points at the end of the first quarter, the Cougars turned things around in the second and never looked back. They outscored the Stars 19-10 in the second followed by a 17-8 advantage in the third. CUC built on this advantage as they grabbed a 15-point lead heading to the fourth.

Sophomore
Mikalah Ellis (Chicago, Ill.) led the Cougars with 17 points and 13 rebounds, posting her second double-double in as many days and her third of the season. Fellow sophomores
Bailey Steinkamp (Cary, Ill.) and
Jaylene Wade (Lansing, Ill.) both finished the season strong with 15 points in 39 minutes and 14 points in 40 minutes, respectively. Both also contributed four assists, and, between the two of them, forced six steals.

Tara Hastings (New Lenox, Ill.),
Macy Klein (Fort Collins, Colo.), and
Mackenzie Straulin (Johnsburg, Ill.) became the only three Cougars to play in all 10 regular season games, combining for nine points on the night.

In addition to splitting the season series, the win gives the Cougars a 17-10 lead all-time against the Stars, including 8-6 on the road.

The Cougars finish the season in fourth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference South Division to advance to the conference tournament. They will play at No. 1 seed for the South division, which will be decided on Monday after Aurora and Benedictine play each other.
