Box Score Eureka, Ill. -- The Concordia University Chicago football team (2-3,0-3) hit the road on Saturday for a conference battle with the Eureka College Red Devils (2-3,2-1). Despite some standout individual performances in the game, the Cougars ultimately fell by a final score of 38-13.
The Cougars offense kicked off the scoring, with senior quarterback Jordan Sepulveda (Lake Worth, Fla.) hooking up with junior wide receiver Ty McKinney (Hazelwood, Mo.) for a 36-yard touchdown pass. This capped a quick 46-yard scoring drive that took only 47 seconds.
After 17 unanswered points from the Red Devils, Sepulveda again found McKinney, this time down the sideline, for a 32-yard strike to bring the Cougars back within four early on in the third.
This is the closest CUC would get, however, as the Red Devils added three more touchdown drives in the second half while holding the Cougars out of the end zone.
