River Forest, Ill. - A hard fought five sets ended in heartbreak for the Concordia University Chicago women's volleyball team (8-10, 5-2) as they lost 3-2 against Wisconsin Lutheran (8-14, 1-8) early on Saturday morning.
The Cougars came out strong in the first set, winning set one 25-15. The momentum started to dull as they let the Warriors tie things up in the second set, but the Cougars found the strength to fight back as they took the third set with dominance. Multiple long rallies furthered the intensity of the game, where the score ran up to 28-26, sending the game to a fifth set. As the end of the game neared, the back and forth continued, forcing the Cougars to fight for every point before ultimately falling 18-16.
