CUC came into this matchup 0-7 against the Spartans in program history and in the first half AU put themselves in control to continue the dominance. Aurora would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead and score two more goals in the second half to win in dominant fashion, 4-0.

Inside the Box Score:
  • CUC recorded zero shots or shots on goal in first half
  • AU out-shot the Cougars 30-4
  • Although losing 4-0, Jose Retana saved 15 shots on goal.

Opening up the match, CUC looked to get ahead early and break the winless streak against Aurora. Unfortunately, the Cougars would fall behind early in the first half, and the Spartans would smell blood. They would go onto score two goals and take a 2-0 lead going into the halftime break.

The second half would not be much better for the Cougar faithful. Aurora would go onto get 30 shots on goal in the match, in part to 16 corner kicks. Retana had his hands full all the way until the final buzzer when the Spartans were still attempting to score with under a minute left. They would net one final score and push the final tally to 4-0.

Concordia-Chicago will be back in action on September 28th against Concordia Wisconsin. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
