WAUKESHA, WIS.-- Looking to get things going today, the Concordia University Chicago Men's Soccer team headed north for their longest road trip of the season to date. They took on the Carroll University Pioneers from the CCIW conference. The Pioneers controlled the day, finding the back of the net five times in route to a 5-0 win over the Cougars.
Carroll struck first in the 15
th minute. When Issey Valadez made a good move in the box and tucked it inside the left post. Less than a minute later it became 2-0 on another Pioneer goal.
The Cougars tried to get something going in the 21
st minute when
Ryan Kuhlman's shot was saved.
Carroll added on one more in the 44
th minute to make it 3-0 on a header by Venanzio Weeks off of a free kick. The Pioneers made it 4-0 on a penalty kick in the 47
th minute. They added on one final goal in the 55
th minute to finish the match 5-0.
The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday afternoon when they head to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan for their final non-conference road test of the season.
