RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Looking to grab their third straight victory at home, for the first time since the 1995-96 season, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars took on the Thunder of Trine University. After a tight opening half, the Thunder went on to shoot 58 percent from the field in the second frame to ultimately steal the victory, 85-68.
Turning Point
- With seven minutes to go in the first half, Jaxon Gaddie drained a three-pointer from deep to pull within six points of the Thunder. But Trine answered back with a a 12-point run of their own, that the Cougars could struggled to come back from.
Inside the Box Score
- Tavarus Williams scored the first three-pointer of his career in the fifth minute of today's game.
- Charlie Reznikoff finished the day with 15 points, two assists and four rebounds. He also drew two offensive fouls from the Thunder.
- Raushaun Amos led the Cougars with a team-high 21 points, eight boards and two assists.
- CUC had just six scorers on the day.
- Overall, Trine out shot the Cougars 56 percent to 40 percent, from the field.

- Despite the deficit, CUC continued to fight, with an Izak Ruddell three-pointer with two minutes to go, that brought the Cougars within 16 of the Thunder.
