ROCKFORD, ILL. – Looking for their third straight win in NACC play, the Concordia University Chicago Men's Basketball team hit the road to take on the Regents of Rockford University this afternoon. CUC built up a double-digit lead in the first half, but the Regents were able to rally, downing CUC late by a final score of 82-80.
Turning Point
- After Xeo Golding gave CUC an 80-79 lead with 1:27 left, the Regents were able to go 3-4 from the free throw line while keeping CUC scoreless over that span.
Inside the Box Score
- Raushaun Amos recorded his first double-double in a CUC uniform. He matched his season high with 21 points on 8-15 shooting and pulled down a season high 11 rebounds.
- Golding scored in double figures once again for CUC, finishing 7-7 from the free throw line with a team high five assists.
- CUC shot 58.6 percent in the first half but just 32.3 percent in the second half. CUC also went just 2-17 in the second half from deep.
- Four Regents scored in double figures on the day, led by Singleton with 21.
- Rockford shot 50 percent from the floor and 9-24 from three.
