River Forest, Ill.- Concordia University Chicago (1-5; 1-3 NACC) took on Wisconsin Lutheran (4-3; 2-1 NACC) in the 2019-20 home opener. A strong start by the Cougars would not be enough and they would eventually fall 52-40.
Turning Point
In the beginning stages it looked as if CUC would control the pace and tempo of the game. They did so until there was 6:20 seconds left in the third quarter and WLC's Kelly Tramburg hit a three to take the 26-23 lead. After that, the Cougars did not possess another lead.

- Following the lead change, WLC would force a CUC timeout with a 5-0 run and 5:37 remaining.
- Wisconsin Lutheran would control the whole third quarter and go on a 20-5 run to take a 39-26 lead going into the final frame.
- In the fourth quarter WLC would extend the lead but, three pointers by Jaylene Wade, and Kaylah Koehler cut the deficit back to 13.
- With 1:46 left Hastings forced a timeout after a deep three pointer shortened the lead to 10.
- Concordia-Chicago could not generate enough momentum and would go on to lose by a score of 52-40.
