Cougars Battle Against UW-Green Bay

GREEN BAY, WIS. – After picking up the programs first win over a ranked team since becoming a full time member of NCAA Division III, the Concordia University Chicago Men's Basketball team hit the floor for a road test against Division I UW-Green Bay. The Cougars battled tough but fell to the Phoenix by a final score of 126-64.
 
Turning Point
  • After the Cougars cut the Phoenix lead back to five, Green bay went on an 18-2 run over 4:13 to expand the lead to 21 with 7:25 left in the half.

  • The stats and the loss will not count for the Cougars because the contest was an exhibition.
  • Jalen Meeks led the way with 15 points on 6-13 shooting.
  • Rashaun Amos had a strong night for CUC finishing with 14 points to go along with three steals.
  • Landen Gladney finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
  • In total eight players for Green Bay finished in double figures.
  • It was the second time this season that the Phoenix have scored 100+ points.

  • The Cougars (3-4; 3-2 NACC) will enjoy a few days off for Christmas. They will return to action on Monday December, 30 at 7:00pm from Geiseman Gymnasium against the visiting Trine Thunder. CJ Selner and Carter Gledhill will have the call on the Cougar Sports Network beginning at 6:50pm.
