Cougars Upset #24 Eagles Inside Geiseman

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Looking to build off of a big overtime win over Wisconsin Lutheran, the Concordia University Chicago Men's Basketball team took to the floor against #24 ranked Benedictine University tonight. The Cougars came out hot from the opening jump, building a big lead in the first half which led to a 90-72 win over the Eagles.
 
Turning Point
  • The Cougars led 19-11, with 12:10 remaining in the first half and would continue to build on from there. They were able to close out the first half out-scoring the Eagles 38-18 over the next 11:02 to build the lead to 28.
 
Inside The Numbers:
  • Jalen Meeks had another big night, scoring 26 points on 10-12 shooting. He also brought down eight boards.
  • Raushaun Amos matched his season high with 18 points. He also had three assists and four steals.
  • Xeo Golding had a season high 19 points on 7-14 shooting to go along with six rebounds.
  • CUC shot 52 percent in the first half and 44.9 percent for the game.
  • CUC out-rebounded the Eagles 55-38.
  • Benedictine shot 36.5 percent from the floor, 7-26 from behind the arc and 11-26 from the free throw line.
