MADISON, Wis. -- Looking to open up NACC play with a 2-0 record for the first time since 2009, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars traveled to Edgewood College to take on the Eagles in their conference opener. After a tight race in the opening minutes of play, Edgewood went on a massive run, late in the first half, to ultimately pull ahead and win the match up 86-70.
Turning Point:
- While the Cougars trailed through the early minutes of the game, they eventually clawed back to tie the game at 20-20 with 10:55 to play in the first, thanks to a Landen Gladney layup. However, Edgewood then went on to outscore CUC 34-9 after the tied game, and ran away with a 54-29 lead at the half, which the Cougars would ultimately never overcome.
