Whitewater, IL- Rounding out the UW-Whitewater tournament, the Cougars (1-1, 1-0 NACC) took on the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point before heading back into conference play.

The beginning of the game was a rather slow start for the Cougars, only scoring six points in the first quarter. After a steal from
Sarah Ludwig, she was able to get the assist on the layup from
Michaela Thornton making the score 17-6 in favor of UWSP. The Cougars outscored UWSP 20-6 in the second quarter, and looked to carry that idea into the second half. At the half, the Cougars kept it a close game, only trailing UWSP 26-27.
Starting the second half, the Cougars took a while to get the momentum going again, allowing UWSP to go up 33-26. UWSP went on a 11-point run that gave them the largest lead of the game. A three-pointer from
Kaylah Koehler brought the score to 35-48, breaking the scoring drought.At the end of the 3
rd quarter, the UWSP lead the Cougars 51-35.
UWSP continued to stretch their lead, going up by 20 with just over 8:00 to go in the game. Thornton drained a three-pointer to bring her point total to 13 on the day. After a timely UWSP turnover,
Bailey Steinkamp scored a three-pointer, followed closely by another one from
Tara Hastings, cutting the UWSP lead to 57-44.The Cougars were unable to overcome the deficit, and fell the UWSP 72-58.
The next game for Concordia is set for Saturday, November 23
rd against Marian University (0-2, 0-0 NACC).
