RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- After a front-heavy week for the Cougars, Concordia-Chicago's women's soccer team will head to Lakeland University tomorrow for a 4 p.m. tilt in Plymouth, Wis.
Last Time Out... As the Cougars have already played two matches this week, they picked up their first win in a 4-0 victory over Rockford on Tuesday, before falling 1-0 to Benedictine on Wednesday night. Despite being blanked in the midweek contest, CUC showed offensive finesse against the Regents Tuesday, as
Gabriella Wagoner,
Kate Sullivan and
Samantha Wozniak each scored their first goals of the season to pick up the win. For Wagoner and Sullivan, it was the first goals of their respective careers.Â
Scouting the Muskies... With a 3-7-1 record so far on the season, Lakeland has picked up two conference wins over Alverno and Rockford for a 2-3 record in the NACCÂ thus far. Predicted to finish 11th in the conference, the Muskies average 1.27 goals per game with Rachel Hasko leading the way with six goals and two assists on the year to date. On average, Lakeland rifles 15.5 shots per game compared to their opponents' 20.0 shots per game average.Â
Junior Jewels... CUC's junior class has been the offensive leaders throughout the 2019 campaign. With 32 points as a team, 22 of those have come from a member of the junior class.
Samantha Goodlett and
Brianna Welch have been at the helm of the goal scorers, with three goals each, as well as
Cecilia Kochanek who holds the team-high three assists.Â
