First and Foremost...Senior guard Mitch Pelissier has left his mark on the CUC basketball program, as he currently ranks fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,555 career points and is coming off a career-best week that earned him NACC Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. During his last four games, he has scored 26 points or more and combined for 119 points. The Washington native scored a career-high 40 points in an overtime thriller win against Dominican last weekend and is now averaging 23.0 points per game. He scoring average is good for first in the NACC and ranks 13th nationally.
The Giant in the Room...Through just 12 collegiate basketball games, Chicago native and freshman Landen Gladney has made his presence known across the NCAA. With a dozen games under his belt, the 6'5'' rookie has recorded double-digit rebounds in all 12 games and has 11 double-doubles on the season. Gladney is ranked second in the nation for total double-doubles and seventh in rebounds per game (12.9). He is also eighth in the country with 155 total boards.
Scouting the Falcons... CUW is heading into Wednesday night's matchup with a 8-1 conference record and is 8-4 overall. Coming off three straight victories, the Falcons are looking to beat the Cougars for the second time this season. Concordia Wisconsin has four players averaging at least 10.0 points per game, with their leading scorer Josh Hau shooting 51.6 on the year.
Series Stackup... Last time out, CUW routed the Cougars 95-86 inside Geiseman Gymnasium. CUC will look to defeat its NACC rival for the first time since Jan. 8, 2014.
