RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Concordia-Chicago men's soccer team is set to return on the road for two games this week, starting with a trip to Milwaukee to face first place MSOE tomorrow night.
Last Time Out: CUC is coming off a 0-2 week, after falling 0-2 to Illinois Tech last Wednesday, and then dropping a one-goal game to Edgewood on Sunday, 1-2.
All-Time vs. The Raiders: The Cougars are 1-14 all time against MSOE, with the series dating back to 2002. CUC's lone win of the series came in 2004, when the Cougars slipped past MSOE with a 3-2 win in River Forest.
Scouting MSOE: As of Oct. 2, the Raiders were ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches regional rankings and are currently 6-0 in NACC play. With the hot hand, MSOE has won its last 10 games straight, having not suffered a loss since Sept. 5. The Raiders have 10 different players contributing goals this season, with two players having 10+ goals each.
Fresh Eyes: Concordia-Chicago's freshman
Ryan Kuhlman has stepped into an immediate impact role for the Cougars in the early stages of his career. Through CUC's first nine games of the season, the Darien, Ill. native ranks among the top-nine in the NACC conference for total goals scored, with six. Of the top nine scorers in the league, Kuhlman is the only athlete who has not played in at least 10 games so far this year.
