CUC Visits Falcons

RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Concordia-Chicago men's soccer team will make the trip to Mequon for an afternoon match up against the CUW Falcons tomorrow, at 3 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Cougars will look to snap their five-game losing skid, after falling 3-0 to River Forest rival, Dominican University earlier this week. Jose Retana had a great game in net for CUC, despite the loss, tallying a season-high 12 saves from between the posts.

The Falcons at a Glance: The Falcons are coming off a thrilling 1-0 victory over first place MSOE on Wednesday afternoon. Beating MSOE gave the Raiders their first conference loss of the season. Heading into tomorrow, the Falcons have two matches left and are currently in sixth place in the NACC at 5-3-1. If CUW wins one of their last two, they clinch a spot in the NACC Tournament. CUW is also 6-1 on the year in front of their home crowd.

All-Time Series: CUW leads the all-time series 14-0-0, as the Cougars look to defeat the Falcons for the first time in program history.

Fresh Eyes: Concordia-Chicago's freshman Ryan Kuhlman has stepped into an immediate impact role for the Cougars in the early stages of his career. Through the team's 12 games this season, the Darien, Ill. native ranks among the top-eight in the NACC conference for total goals scored, with seven. Of the top eight scorers in the league, Kuhlman is the only athlete who has not played in at least 13 games so far this year.
