Cougar Women Look To Bounce Back Versus Edgewood

River Forest, Ill.- The Cougar women (5-1) will look to start a new winning streak after they were handed their first loss of the season last Monday by Benedictine. Taylor Jacobsen scored 17 points, but the (BenU) Eagles' tandem of D'Asia Williams and Allison Michalski proved too much in the second half as the visitors came back to win 77-68. CUC looks for better results against Edgewood's Eagles, having defeated them in the Edgedome last season. The Cougars continue to put up an impressive 84.2 points per game, led by T. Jacobsen's 21.0 average, and they outscore their opponents by an average of 19.

The Eagles' women (4-5) are currently 2-2 in conference after a six-point win over Marian last Saturday, although their winning streak was interrupted by a midweek loss to UW-Platteville. Freshman Delaney Wilhelm has been a good addition to Edgewood, as she leads the team in scoring with a 10.7 average. Post player Allison Gordon played well against CUC last year, and the Cougars will need to account for her 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
