Box Score Sept. 6, 2012 – Concordia University Chicago senior quarterback Jake Koehler (Belvidere, IL/Rockford Lutheran) was honored by the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) as its Football (Offense) Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2.
           
Koehler led the Cougars to their seventh consecutive win on Opening Day, a 35-27 victory over visiting Lake Forest College Sept. 1. He passed for 305 yards on 21 of 30 (70 percent) with no interceptions and touchdown passes of 56 and 14 yards. Koehler also ran for 89 yards on 13 carries in sparking the offense to 506 total yards.
           
“Jake did a great job, making some big throws and keeping the defense off- balance with his scrambling ability,” said Lonnie Pries, Concordia-Chicago head football coach. “We were very pleased with his poise and accuracy.”
