Box Score
Sept. 23, 2010 - The Cougar men's soccer team entered tonight's non-conference match at North Central College having gone 2-0-1 in their last three matches. However, the Cardinals put an end to that streak with a 4-1 win over the Cougars.
Concordia held down the hosts for much of the first half until NCC's Tyler Lundquist scored in the 35th minute. Arguably the biggest goal of the match came just over five minutes later when Michael Lenzi scored to put the Cougars at a two-goal deficit going into the half.
The Cardinals added a goal in the 68th minute and another in the 89th minute. However, Kyle Joss (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles North) got Concordia on the board just 18 seconds after North Central's tally. The unassisted goal was Joss' fourth in the last two days.
North Central owned a 22-10 advantage in shots for the game. Bart Loos (Evans, NY/St. Francis) made four saves in goal.
The Cougars (2-4-2) will resume Northern Athletics Conference play on Saturday when they play at Edgewood College.
