Amanda Allen (Deerfield, Wis.) of the women’s track team is honored for the week of Feb. 7-13.

           
Allen’s throw of 40’ 11” in the shot put at the Feb. 11 Chicagoland Championships was good for third place among 46 throwers. Moreover, the effort shattered Allen’s previous school record in the event by 2 ½ feet. Allen is currently atop the Northern Athletics Conference shot putters and is within 11 inches of provisionally qualifying for NCAA III nationals.
