Amanda Allen (Deerfield, Wis.) of the women’s track team is honored for the week of Jan. 17-23.

           

Allen won the shot put at the Jan. 21 Dick Pond Invitational hosted by Lewis University. She threw 11.60 meters while beating out her competition from NCAA Division II and NAIA schools. Allen’s winning effort followed on the heels of last week’s record-setting performance in the event (11.71m).

 

Allen, the daughter of Dave and Cindy Allen, is a 2008 graduate of Deerfield High School. She is a junior exercise science major.
