Amanda Allen (Deerfield, WI) of the women’s track team is honored for the week of Jan. 10-16.

            
Allen made her season debut for the indoor track team Jan. 15 at the Carthage College Private School Invitational. She threw 11.71 meters in the shot put, finishing fourth overall out of 25 throwers and breaking her own school indoor record by .09 meters. She accounted for five of the team’s 38.5 points in the meet, helping the Cougars to an eighth place finish.

Allen, the daughter of Dave and Cindy Allen, is a 2008 graduate of Deerfield High School. She is a junior exercise science major.
