Angelik Young (Crete, IL) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Nov. 23-29.         

Young tied her career high in points with 21 and completed the double-double with 10 rebounds as the Cougar women defeated Alverno College 84-78 on Nov. 28. Young shot 9-17 for the game and contributed a key three-point play with six minutes remaining that vaulted the Cougars into the lead to stay.

Young, the daughter of Selena Maynie, is a 2012 graduate of Crete-Monee High School in Crete, IL. She is a senior graphic arts major.
