Marche Smith (Oak Park, Ill.) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Nov. 22-28.
Smith scored 45 points in the Cougar women’s two games last week on 18-35 shooting (51 percent). The 5’7” guard tallied 16 points and seven rebounds in the Nov. 23 game at Eureka College. Four days later against Rockford College, she scored a season-high 29 points including Concordia’s first 18 of the game. Smith shot 12-18 including 2-4 from three-point range. Through the team’s first three games, Smith is 28 of 50 from the field for 56 percent while averaging 23.3 points.
