Liz Steinhoff (Grayslake, IL) of the tennis team is honored for the week of Aug. 31–Sept. 6.
           
Steinhoff helped the Cougars win their first tennis match of the season, 5-4 over Lakeland College on Sept. 5. She defeated Ann Schroeder 6-0, 6-1 at second singles and teamed with Emma Renteria at first doubles to defeat Emma Schad and Mikayla Hilton 8-4. The doubles tandem also netted CUC’s lone point in the afternoon match against Marian University as they topped Alissa Held and Elizabeth Elrick 8-5.
           
Steinhoff, the daughter of Rudy and Lauri Steinhoff, is a 2012 graduate of Grayslake North High School in Grayslake, IL. She is a senior marketing major.
