Samantha Trejo (Lombard, IL) of the women’s tennis team is honored for the week of Sept. 8-14.

Trejo contributed to the Cougars’ 6-3 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sept. 13 with a pair of strong performances. She defeated Melanie Avery 7-6 (7-2) and 6-2 at fourth singles and teamed with Samantha Panganiban for an 8-2 win at second doubles over Phoebe Skowronski and Emily Dvorsky. Trejo is in her first year with the Cougars and is currently 3-3 in singles play. She and Panganiban have a 3-1 record at doubles.
           
Trejo, the daughter of Martin and Yvonne Trejo, is a 2010 graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL. She is a senior marketing major.
