Alex Schmidt (Frankenmuth, Mich.) of the women’s cross-country team is honored for the week of

Nov. 8-14.

               

Schmidt ran her season-best 6K at the Division III Midwest Regionals Nov. 13. She finished with a 25:56.2, beating her previous best mark by one second. Schmidt continued her streak of being the Cougar women’s top finisher in every meet during the 2010 season.

           

Schmidt, the daughter of Tyson and Sharon Schmidt, is a 2009 graduate of Frankenmuth High School. She is a sophomore physical education/health major.
