Alicia Salata (Bartlett, IL) of the softball team is honored for the week of April 7-13.
Salata hit .500 on 9-18 over six games last week. The pitcher/outfielder powered out one double, one triple and four homers among her nine hits for a slugging percentage of 1.333. Salata hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning against Rockford University on April 13 to lead the Cougars to a come-from-behind 3-2 win (game one). In game two, she drove in six of CUC’s runs in the 12-5 win.
Salata, the daughter of Alan and Marlene Salata, is a 2012 graduate of Bartlett High School in Bartlett, IL. She is a sophomore exercise science major.
