Steve Cox (Villa Park, IL) is honored for the week of March 17-23.

Cox converted all three of his save opportunities over the weekend as the Cougars extended their winning streak to eight games. Cox saved a pair of one-run thrillers on March 22 against sixth-ranked Webster University and the College of St. Scholastica. The following day, the righthander locked up a 4-1 win over Washington University of St. Louis. Cox now has four saves on the year and has closed out 17 straight save opportunities dating back to last year.

Cox, the son of John and Bonnie Cox, is a 2010 graduate of Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. He is a senior exercise science major.
