Mike Walmer (Orlando, FL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Nov. 18-24.

Walmer averaged 19.5 points in the Cougars’ games last week versus Rockford University and Bethany Lutheran College. In the Cougars’ 76-72 win at Bethany Lutheran on Nov. 23, Walmer scored 13 of his points in the final eight minutes of the game including a run of nine straight points that catapulted CUC into a 68-64 lead. The 6’0” guard also hit four clinching free throws in the final minute of play.

Walmer, the son of Michael and Rhonda Walmer, is a 2013 graduate of Orlando Christian High School in Orlando, Florida. He is a freshman with an undeclared major.
