Alyssa Soulis (Grayslake, IL) of the women’s soccer team is honored for the first week of the new school year, Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
Soulis scored four of the Cougar women’s five goals in the two-game road trip to Indiana. Her second-half tally against Earlham College on Aug. 30 helped the Cougars pull out a point in a 2-2 tie. Against Anderson University the following day, she scored all three goals, two in the second half, as Concordia prevailed by a 3-1 score. Soulis now has 47 career goals, just one behind all-time women’s leader Kari Zielke.
Soulis, the daughter of Timothy and Cheryl Soulis, is a 2010 graduate of Grayslake North High School in Grayslake, Illinois. She is a senior biology major.
