Olivia Hires (Denver, CO) of the softball team is honored for the week of March 4-10.

Hires provided offensive punch from the top of the softball team’s batting order during their season-opening trip to Florida. The Cougars’ shortstop and centerfielder batted .469 in 10 games with a team-leading 11 runs scored. She recorded a .514 on-base percentage, and her three doubles and one triple contributed to a .625 slugging percentage.

Hires, the daughter of Clayton Hires and Michelle Elm, is a 2009 graduate of Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado. She is a senior marketing major.
