Marcus Elston (Chicago, IL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6.

Elston averaged 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in Concordia’s two men’s games last week. He scored a season-high 18 points in the Jan. 2 game against Concordia University Wisconsin. Elston then pulled down 10 of his 14 rebounds in the second half of the Jan. 5 game at Edgewood College in helping the Cougars fight back from a 16-point deficit to close to within four points down the stretch.

Elston, the son of Marion Sims, is a 2009 graduate of Benito Juarez High School in Chicago. He is a junior marketing major.
