Merrell Davis (Milwaukee, WI) of the men’s track team is honored for the week of March 26-April 1.

Davis scored 30 of the Cougar men’s 55 team points in helping them to a sixth-place finish at the March 31 Ted Haydon Invitational at the University of Chicago. He won the long jump with a mark of 7.15 meters (23’ 5 ½”), a potentially qualifying mark for this year’s outdoor nationals after he qualified last year at 7.16. Davis also won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.92 seconds and the 200-meter dash with a 22.02.

Davis, the son of Anne Novotny, is a 2008 graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School. He is a junior business communications major.
