Travon Thomas joined the Concordia University Chicago track and field staff in the fall of 2025 following as a volunteer throws coach.
Thomas, a former CUC thrower, joins the staff on a volunteer basis to help assist the younger athletes. In addition to his volunteer position with the track and field team, Thomas serves as the graduate assistant for the football team. his new role, Thomas is focused on learning and developing as a coach while contributing to player development and team preparation.Â
During football career, Thomas was a two-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) All-Conference player and appeared in every game over four seasons. He led the team in tackles multiple years and ranked among the top defenders in the NACC, known for his consistent presence, playmaking ability, and leadership on the field.Â
A native of Wauchula, Florida, Thomas graduated from CUC in 2025 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Sports Management. He brings a strong understanding of the program's culture and competitive expectations, having played four seasons with the Cougars.Â
