Mikalah Ellis joins the CUC women's basketball coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2025.
Ellis joins the coaching staff after a successful five-year playing career with the Cougars, earning 3x Northern Atheltics Collegiate Conference (NACC) All-Conference accolades highlighted by being named the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year. As a player, Ellis averaged 10.8 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 101 total assists, 53 total steals, and 44 total blocks. She picked up her career-high 15 rebounds against Dominican University in 2023 before going on to pick up her career-high 31 points against IllinoisCollege that following season.Â
With the Cougars, Ellis will primarily support the coaching staff with player development, film breakdown, scouting, practice preparation, and program operations while continuing their own professional development.Â
Ellis is coming off an internship with the Chicago Sky working in ticket sales. She graduated from Concordia University Chicago with her BS in Exercise Science in 2023.
