Dr. Sherwin Ho is an expert in sports medicine, specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. He has served as faculty at numerous advanced arthroscopic shoulder and knee courses for the American academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Ho has served on the academy's Board of Councilors and is an official spokesman for the academy.

Dr. Ho has authored numerous medical articles and reference publications. He has served as a co-chief editor of sports medicine for the online publication, WebMD/eMedicine, and is chairman of the annual University of Chicago Primary Care Orthopedics Course.

He has also moderated industry conferences on a range of orthopaedic topics including knee and shoulder injuries, advances in arthroscopic surgery, swimmer's shoulder and primary orthopaedic care.

Dr. Ho's research involves the use of gene therapy to treat cartilage injuries in the knees. He was elected to the prestigious Herodicus Society - an elite society of the world's leading sports medicine physicians. Additionally, he has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" by Castle and Connolly since 2003, and Men's Health and Chicago magazines. 

Dr. Ho serves as a team physician for the University of Chicago and as head team physician at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL. He has also served as a team physician for the U.S. women's national volleyball team from 2006-12 (silver medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic games), and the China women's national volleyball team's physician and surgeon from 2012 to the present, helping them win a silver medal at the 2014 World Championship in Italy, and gold medals at the 2015 World Cup in Japan and 2016 Olympic games in Brazil.
