Christian Orbito

Christian Orbito joined the CUC men's basketball coaching staff in the fall of 2025.

Orbito comes to CUC after coaching at Plainfiled South High School for the last four seasons. He started as a volunteer assistant coach for the freshman boys basketball team during the 2021-22 season before being promoted to the head coach for the 2022-23 season where he was responsible for designing practice plans, implementing game strategies, managing team dynamics, and emphasizing player development through skill improvement, basketball IQ, and teamwork. 

In addition to his experience coaching at the high school level, Orbito founded Christian Orbito Basketball in the summer of 2021. Through this organization, he led a private basketball training program focused on individual skill development and basketball IQ. He trained athletes ranging from 3rd grade through 12th grade with three different groups based on skill level. Over the years he built and maintained a client base of roughly 15 consistent players in the offseason, documenting training sessions and player progress on Instagram (@christianorbito.basketball) to showcase development and attract new clients. In the spring of 2022, Orbito attended the Player Development Conference 2.0 hosted by Coleman Ayers, the founder of By Any Means Basketball. At this conference, Orbito learned from some of the most widely known basketball trainers in the industry in Devin Williams, Tim Martin, Josh Fan, Joerik Michiels, and many more. 

In 2020, Orbito was selected as a player for two Fil-Am Nation Select showcases based on skill and performance and was invited back as a coach and trainer in 2024 due to his advanced leadership and basketball knowledge. Orbito also coached at a national basketball showcase featuring participants from around the world with a focus on coaching and evaluating Filipino players pursuing collegiate and professional opportunities. Orbito has consistently promoted a positive and competitive environemnt that emphasized effort, teamwork, and cultural pride. 

Orbito graudated from Plainfield South High School in 2017 where he played four years of basketball as a starting point guard. He is ASEP Certified through IHSA Coaching Orientation.
