Anthony Johnson joined the Concordia Chicago women’s basketball staff in the fall of 2018.

Since joining the Cougar women's basketball coaching staff, Johnson has helped coach six NACC All-Conference players and one D3hoops.com Team Member of the Week. Along with assisting on the court, he takes part in the recruiting process of looking for future Cougars.

Johnson has been in the athletic industry since 2008 as a professional coach. He attended Spoon River College in Canton, Illinois where he played both basketball and baseball. Currently, Johnson is responsible for the organization and administration of AAU basketball programs. Additionally he has coached multiple AAU teams including the Illinois Bobcats, Orange Crush, and the Illinois Spartans.

Johnson has multiple years of experience interacting with diverse team members. In his AAU coaching career, Johnson has had 25 players go on to play collegiate basketball, and five move on to play at the professional level. Prior to the move to CUC, Johnson most recently coached the All In Athletic 17U girls basketball team. He also served as an assistant on the 2015-16 Roosevelt women’s basketball team.
