Jayme (Hardy) Wier begins her tenth season as a cross-country assistant coach alongside fellow assistant/husband Tim.

As Jayme Hardy, she became the first Cougar woman ever to earn Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference Female Runner of the Year. She accomplished the feat in 2003 in leading the Cougar women to their first-ever conference title. Hardy holds three of the top 10 times in the women’s 5k, with a best of 20:48 (third place all-time) set in 2000. She was honored as a member of the NIIC first-team All-Scholastic in 2004 and was nominated for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.

Wier graduated Concordia in 2004 with a degree in music education. Formerly an elementary teacher, she is currently a stay-at-home mom for five-year-old daughter Kari
