Joel Watts joins the CUC men's basketball coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2025.
Watts joins the coaching staff focusing on Player Development Enchancement and Strategic Operations Contributions. He joins the staff after a after a two year playing career at CUC. While at CUC, Watts made a name for himself with more than 1,000 minutes played and 101 steals. Watts helped guide the men's basketball team to a top five finish in team standings and two consecutive trips to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) tournament. He finished 3rd in the country in steals during the 2024-25 season and posted a top five free throw percentage in the NACC. Prior to his time at CUC, Watts played at Joliet Junior College where he finished 7th place in the 2022 Juco National Tournament and was named "Best Small Guard".Â
Watts completed his bachelor’s in Business Management from CUC in the spring of 2025.Â
