Concordia University Chicago Athletics

Jimmy Fields joined the Cougar men's basketball coaching staff as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach in the fall of 2023.

Fields comes to Concordia with over 11 years coaching experience at the High School and Grassroots levels. 
 
A native of Downers Grove, Fields began his coaching career as an assistant at Downers Grove North, where he cultivated his passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes. With subsequent coaching stints at St. Laurence,  Conant, and most-recently winning back-to-back regional championships at Montini High School. 
 
In the Grassroots basketball world, Fields established himself as a respected figure working with the Chicago Lockdown, Breakaway Basketball, and also works with Under Armour Basketball on Events. 
 
Fields graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Lewis University in June of 2015.
