Established in 2002, the Concordia University Chicago Athletic Hall of Fame exists to recognize those individuals who best exemplify the mission, spirit and philosophy of Concordia and its Department of Athletics. Hall of Fame membership is open to former players, coaches and other individuals who have brought honor and prestige to the University. More than 100 individuals have been inducted, and in 2018 exemplary teams were included in the Hall of Fame.Â
CRITERIA USED FOR SELECTION INCLUDES
- Five years since athlete's graduation or
Five years of continued service and two years since departure
- Participation or coaching with distinction and honor
- Demonstrated citizenship and care for teammates and athletes
- High esteem by colleagues, coaches and teammates
- Ongoing contribution to University, church and community

February 1Â to be considered for the Fall induction class.
Nominations are accepted each year and are kept under advisement for five (5) years from date of receipt. Induction ceremonies are held only when merited, and recipients must be present to accept the award unless given posthumously. If a recipient cannot be present in the year selected, s/he will be awarded with the next induction class when presence is possible.
