Phones: All athletic trainers will have cellular phones with Direct Connect access to Switchboard/Campus Security. Campus Security's phone number is 708-771-8300. You will need to call Campus Security directly if calling 911 from a campus telephone. ATs will need to directly dial 911 from their cell phones when outside and away from a campus phone.
Student Assistants/Managers: Student assistants in the Athletic Training Department will be responsible for the trauma bag, AED and any other first aid as directed by the Athletic Trainer. If no student assistant is available, a student manager may be asked to assist with these responsibilities.
GEISEMAN GYM - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: East hallway across from the public restrooms, KCC
Phones: The Athletic Trainer on site will have a cell phone with which they can contact local EMS and campus security. Phones are also located in the Athletic Office at the east end of the gym as well as in the hallway.
Venue Directions: Geiseman Gym is located in the center of campus, adjacent to the tennis courts. To access in emergency situations, direct the ambulance to enter from Monroe and continue through the loading dock to West Emergency Drive. Emergency personnel should then enter through the South Gym.
CONCORDIA STADIUM - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: On field for events, CATS Building, KCC, Physical Plant
Phones: The Athletic Trainer on site will have a cell phone with which they can contact local EMS and campus security. Phones are also located in the CATS Building and the press box.
Venue Directions: Concordia Stadium is located at the northwest corner of campus. To access in emergency situations on the south side of the field, direct the ambulance to enter from Monroe and continue to the admissions gate. To access the north side of the field, instruct the ambulance to park on Division and enter from the admissions gate.
BASEBALL FIELD - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: On field for events, CATS Building, KCC, Physical Plant
Phones: The Athletic Trainer on site will have a cell phone with which they can contact local EMS and campus security. Phones are also located in the CATS Building.
Venue Directions: The baseball field is located on the north side of campus. To access in emergency situations, direct the ambulance to enter from Monroe and continue into the bus parking area. Emergency personnel should then continue toward the baseball field.
SOFTBALL FIELD - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: On field for events, CATS Building, KCC
Phones: The Athletic Trainer on site will have a cell phone with which they can contact local EMS and campus security. Phones are also located in the CATS Building.
Venue Directions: The softball field is located on the northeast corner of campus. To access in emergency situations, direct the ambulance to enter from Division into the driveway between Grace Lutheran and the softball field.
TENNIS COURTS - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: CATS Building, Geiseman Gym, KCC, Physical Plant
Phones: The Athletic Trainer on site will have a cell phone with which they can contact local EMS and campus security. Phones are also located in the CATS Building and the Athletic Office in Geiseman Gym.
Venue Directions: The tennis courts are located north of/adjacent to Geiseman Gym. To access in emergency situations, direct the ambulance to the Monroe Street entrance and continue through the loading dock to the bus parking area.
SPECTATORS - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
AED Location: Spectators will be cared for by the Athletic Training staff until Campus Security arrives to the scene. The first responder will call 911, then Campus Security to respond to a medical emergency at the specific sports venue and wait for Campus Security to arrive before returning to the competition.

A certified athletic trainer and team physician will be in attendance at the games. A John Deere Gator, an AED, backboard, rapid vacuum splints, crutches and a digital sling psychrometer will be on the home team's bench

A certified athletic trainer will be present at all contests.
Note: If your team will not be traveling with a certified athletic trainer, please notify our staff with special needs or requests. Therapeutic modality use requires written instructions from the visiting team's athletic trainer. We reserve the right to refuse the use of our supplies if the visiting team does not supply a stocked medical kit.
