RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Students are back on campus, classes are in full swing, and Concordia University Chicago (CUC) athletics is gearing up as all seven teams kick off their 2026 campaigns.
 
Women's Soccer (0-0, 0-0)
Women's soccer will host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the home opener on Tuesday, September 1, at 2:00 pm. Then, on Saturday, September 5, the Cougars host DePauw University at 2:00 pm.
 
Men's Soccer (0-0, 0-0)
CUC men's soccer also has its home opener, hosting Eureka College on Wednesday, September 2, at 2:00 pm. They will also play on Saturday, September 5, welcoming Hope College to Cougar Stadium at 4:30 pm.
 
Women's Volleyball (0-0, 0-0)
The women's volleyball team has a busy first week, competing in five matches. The season begins on Tuesday, September 1, at 7:00 pm. The Cougars welcome North Central College to Geisman Gymnasium. Then, CUC will host the Concordia-Chicago Quad. On Friday, September 4, the Cougars will play Knox College at 2:00 pm and Bethany Lutheran College at 6:00 pm. The following day, the Cougars will face off against Blackburn College at 9:00 am and Buena Vista University at 1:00 pm.
 
Cross Country
Both cross country teams begin racing on Friday, September 4 at the Flyer Early Bird Invite, hosted by Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. The men's race starts at 6:00 pm, followed by the women's race at 6:30 pm.
 
Women's Tennis (0-0, 0-0)
The women's tennis team kicks off its season on Friday, September 4, at 3:00 pm. The Cougars welcome Lawrence University to River Forest.
 
Football (0-0, 0-0)
The Cougars face University of Minnesota-Morris in the season opener. Kickoff in Morris, Minn. is set for 1:00 pm.
