RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- In a big week extending the Cougar win streak out to five consecutive games,
Tyler Holubek (New Lenox, Ill.) added two personal accomplishments to his accolades: surpassing 1,000 career kills and earning Northern Atheltics Collegaite Conference (NACC) Offensive Player of the Week.
Holubek had a strong week, helping to lead the Cougars to wins over University of Mount Union and Wabash College. In the four set win over Mount Union, he picked up 15 kills while the three set sweep of Wabash saw 11 kills, six digs, and three blocks. The milestone kill came early in the second set against Wabash as a part of a 9-0 run the Cougars would go on to start the set. After surpassing 1,000 career kills, Holubek is 43 kills away from breaking the CUC record for career kills.
Holubek and the rest of the Cougars will be back in action tomorrow, February 12th, as they head over to North Park University. First serve is set for 7:00pm. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
