Schiller Park, Illinois - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's cross country team officially kicked off their 2025 season on Friday at the NPU-CUC Early Invite. For the second consecutive year, CUC co-hosted the 5k event, welcoming a competitive field to the course for a season-opening test.

The RUN-down
Rose Losey (Royal Oak, Mich.) led the way for CUC in her freshman campaign with a time of 22:12.2, finishing 25th overall. Sarah Redhage (Lowden, Iowa) crossed the finish line second for the team with a time of 24:54.8. Close behind her were teammates Marlena Butler and Addi McKee (Knoxville, Ill.). Butler in her freshman debut, finished her first race of the season with a time of 27:36.4, while McKee posted a time of 28:34.1.
