RIVER FOREST, Ill. – It's the first week of classes which also means the first week of Concordia University Chicago (CUC) athletics. It's an action-packed week, with five teams kicking off their 2025 campaigns.
 
Women's Soccer (0-0, 0-0)
Women's soccer will compete in one final preseason scrimmage on Monday, August 25. They face off against Wheaton College on the road at 7:00 pm.  The regular season begins on Friday, August 29, when the Cougars host Elmhurst University at 3:00 pm. Then on Sunday, August 31, University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point comes to River Forest for a 2:00 pm kickoff time.
 
Men's Soccer (0-0, 0-0)
CUC men's soccer also plays one final preseason scrimmage this week. They host Knox College on Tuesday, August 26, at 2:00 pm. The regular season will begin on Saturday, August 30, when they play Lawrence University at 2:00 pm at Cougar Stadium.
 
Women's Volleyball (0-0, 0-0)
The women's volleyball team kicks off the 2025 season by heading to Sandusky, Ohio for the Great Lakes Crossover Tournament. The Cougars will play Muskingum University and Baldwin Wallace University at 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm, respectively, on Friday, August 29. Then on Saturday, August 30, CUC will have an early start at 7:00am to play Franciscan University of Steubenville and follow that up with a match against Heidelberg University at 11:00 am.
 
Cross Country
Both cross country teams begin racing on Friday, August 30 at the North Park/CUC Early Invite. The women's team hit the course at 4:00 pm with the men's team following at 4:45 pm.
