INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track & field team sent a select group of athletes to the Kip Janvrin Open, hosted by Simpson College.
- Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) set two personal bests on the day. In the long jump, he leapt 6.17m (20-3) which is a personal outdoor record and secured 18th-place. In the discus throw, he recorded a personal best mark of 25.61m (80-0).Â
- Julian Switzer (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) ran an 11.19 in the 100m, which is a personal record. He also finished 15th in the long jump with a leap of 6.25m (20-6.25).
- Travon Thomas (Wauchula, Fla.) threw 30.07m (98-8) in the discus throw.
