CHICAGO, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track & field team took on one last meet in preparation for the conference championships next week. The Cougars took a trip to Chicago for the Margaret Bradley Invite, hosted by the University of Chicago.
Notable Performances
- Jayden Taylor (Southfield, Mich.) took home gold in the long jump, registering a leap of 6.40m (21-0).
- Also on the track, Miguel Sanchez (San Antonio, Texas) placed fifth in the 400m, with a mark of 51.44.
- Tying his personal best of 1.78m (5-10) in the high jump, Darius Strother (Joliet, Ill.) finished fifth.
- Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.) took seventh in two events. He ran a 52.14 in the 400m and recorded a mark of 1.78m (5-10) in the high jump.
- Setting a personal record, Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.) ran a 52.28 in the 400m to take eighth.
- Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) ran a personal best 9.62 for an eighth place finish in the 60m hurdles.
- In the field, Brandon Montford (Fairburn, Ga.) placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 13.04m (42-9.5).
- Travon Thomas (Wauchula, Fla.) set a personal best mark of 12.35m (40-6.75) in the weight throw.
Cougar Personal Records
The Cougars' next meet will be the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be held at UW-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.
